What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese word that means universal life force energy. It is a healing art that originated in ancient Buddhism. This gentle, hands on treatment promotes healing in the body, mind and spirit. It can reduce stress, anxiety, sleep issues and physical pain while providing intuitive guidance for the recipient. You may leave your treatment feeling both rejuvenated and as though you've lost 100 lbs and it's very possible for both to be true. Please come with an open heart and remember to stay hydrated following your treatment.
Intention
At the beginning of your treatment you will be asked if you would like to set an intention. Your intention is set so you can cultivate your awareness and then return to it once it is lost. Your intention is incredibly powerful and when you can incorporate this into your treatment and throughout your life, miracles can happen.
Attention
Once you have set your intention for the treatment, you will be asked to pay attention to what is occurring in the present moment. You can accomplish this by observing your thoughts, feelings, and sensations as they arise. This will help you allow the energy to flow while connecting with your intuition.
Attitude
It's perfectly okay to come to reiki for the first time or 124th time. All that is asked of you is to please keep an attitude that is non-judgmental, curious, and kind. Attitude is everything when approaching this form of healing. The kinder you are to yourself the more you allow various parts of you to heal.
